Tensions flared in Balochistan on Tuesday when the Levies Force recovered three bodies - a mother and her two sons - from a well in Barkhan district, prompting strong protests by local Murree tribesmen.

The deceased were family members of a local tribal, Khan Muhammad Marri. The deceased have been identified as Khan Muhammad Marri's wife Gran Naz and his two 20-year-old sons Muhammad Nawaz and teenager Abdul Qadir. Police said the bodies were recovered from a well in Hajikot area of ​​the district on Monday night.

Khan Muhammad Marri accused Provincial Minister of Communications and Construction Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran of killing his family members. He also said that the victims were tortured before being killed.However, speaking to various media outlets, Kshetran denied the allegation and termed the allegations as propaganda to tarnish his political reputation. Khetran said that the murder was a conspiracy against him.


Speaking to The Express Tribune, Balochistan Police Chief Abdul Khaliq Sheikh said that the incident would be investigated transparently and transparently. "No one will be spared.
