In many countries of the world, including Pakistan, the fifth generation (5G) technology has not yet been introduced, but one country is preparing to launch an even more advanced cellular technology.

South Korea has announced to introduce 6G technology within 5 years.

A statement released by South Korea's Ministry of Science said that 6 generation network services will be introduced in South Korea by 2028.

It should be noted that earlier it was estimated that the arrival of 6G technology in the world will not be possible before 2030.

The South Korean government will provide incentives to local companies to produce equipment, parts and other materials for this purpose.Similarly, there are plans to strengthen the supply chain for the 6G network.

With this project, South Korea wants to leave the rest of the world behind in terms of 6G technology.

South Korea accounted for 25.9 percent of 5G technology patents registered in 2022, followed by China with 26.8 percent.

The South Korean government expects to be able to register 30 percent or more of 6G patents.

There aren't many details about 6G technology yet, but experts say it will help move holographic communication from science fiction to reality.
